Hemerocallis, Mini Pearl

This edible daylily bears melon pink flowers with a green-lemon throat, each one lasting a day, then replaced the next day with many more. Flowering time is early to mid-summer. It is very hardy and ideal for the colder British climate. Thrives in sun or part shade, normal garden soil. Height and spread up to 40cm.

Harvest the shoots in spring and use in stir fries or pasta. Use the tubers in winter. The flower buds can be steamed or stir-fried, and the flowers can be used in salads or dried in miso soups.  Lift and divide every three years to maintain flowering. Priced for: 1 litre pot
