Originally from the forests of Honshu,Japan, this is a hardy herbaceous perennial, growing best in full or part shade, in damp soil. Long-toothed foliage (hence the name) with white flowers. Bulbils are produced later in the season, which fall to the ground and produce more plants. Good ground cover. Priced for: a 1 litre pot
Use: eaten as a wild vegetable in Japan, cooked like spinach
