Centella asiatica. Also known as Gotu Kola and Tiger Grass. A herb in the parsley family. Indigenous to South East Asia. Herbaceous, rhizomatous perennial with kidney-shaped leaves and small white or crimson flowers. Requires moist to wet soil to thrive, although it can be grown in drier soils if watered regularly enough. Height to 10cm, spread indefinite.
Use: the leaves are used in salads in Sri Lanka and Indonesia, and widely in SE Asia to make teas. Used in traditional medicine in many parts of SE Asia (please seek advice before using)
