Agastache rugosa - Circa 500 AD. Hardy aromatic perennial flowering herb from the meadows and streambeds of East Asia. Also known as wrinkled giant hyssop, purple giant hyssop, Indian mint, blue liquorice, huo xiang and Chinese patchouli. Tall, upright stems with bluish-purple flower spikes make this an excellent cut flower. The toothed leaves taste like a mix of spearmint and liquorice and are used for both culinary/medicinal purposes. Makes a lovely refreshing tea, and good in salads too. The flowers are much-loved by bees and other insects. Height 80 - 150 cm. Priced for 1 litre pot
