Lingonberry 'Fireballs'

Vaccinium vitis-idea. Native to the Arctic and Northern Europe, this low-growing evergreen shrub is an ideal companion to plant under blueberries in acidic conditions. Produces masses of white flowers and edible red berries, often at the same time. Very decorative as a winter shrub, and very hardy.

Use: Lingonberry jam goes very well with Swedish meatballs and other meat dishes. Priced for a 2 litre pot
