A fan-trained specimen, ideal for training against a wall or forming a natural division in the garden
Pyrus communis. Dessert variety. Also known as the Bartlett pear. A heavy cropper and hardy enough for northern districts. The skin turns yellow when ripe. Has a sweet and juicy flavour and is excellent eaten straight from the tree in late summer/early autumn. Poaches well too. Priced for a fan-trained tree in a 7.5 litre pot
