This is a fan-trained specimen, ideal for training against a wall or forming a natural division in the garden.

Pyrus communis. The very old culinary variety is known as 'Warden Pears'. A large cooking pear with hard flesh and dark skin, hence the name 'Black'. Excellent if stewed slowly. Ready in November, but will store until February. Priced for a fan-trained tree
