This is a fan-trained specimen, ideal for training against a wall or forming a natural division in the garden.

Pyrus communis. Rootstock Quince A (semi-vigorous). Culinary variety. First recorded in 1665, this is the very best of the culinary pears. Very large round green fruit flushed with red. Cook slowly for a pale pink puree with a lovely flavour, or poach for a delicious soft pear. Pick in September, use from January until April. Needs a pollinator (Group D). Priced for a fan-trained tree, ideal for growing against a wall or similar
