Gooseberry, 'Hinnonmaki Red' Standard

Ribes uva-crispa - Mid-season. Very hardy dessert variety, producing heavy crops of medium-sized dark-red fruit with excellent flavour. Mildew resistant. Plant 1.5 metres apart. Pruning usually done in the winter, subsequently cut the leaders back by half to two thirds always to an upward facing bud.
