Ficus carica - A compact, upright variety, producing many large reddish-brown to purple fruits from late June to early August, with a second crop, in favourable conditions in September to October. Not fussy about soil. Low maintenance; just feed in May and July and prune when dormant in winter. A sunny warm spot will give the best crop. It will grow to 3 metres if required, but can be pruned each year to keep in a large container. Hardy to -15C. Priced for a 1.5 litre pot
