Pisum sativum. C. 1840. Means ‘Perfect Example’ in Latin. Round-seeded Late Maincrop variety. Old-fashioned tall pea needing adequate support. One of the tallest (up to 2.2m), a vigorous plant with large leaves. Flowers are bright pure white. Pods are long, large (20-25cm), elegant and smooth. Makes a nice exhibition pea. 14 weeks to maturity. Seed count approx 30.
