Phaseolus vulgaris. Introduced 1864. Very reliable, early maturing French bean. The round green pods can grow up to 20cm long, yet are still tender and stringless with a delicious flavour. The vines are rust resistant & climb 2 metres tall, producing beans in clusters over an extended season. Use young as fresh beans or leave pods to mature and use as dried (haricot) beans. White flowers. About 65 days to maturity. Seed count approx - 25
