Foeniculum vulgare Purpureum, Dark Bronze - Aromatic Perennial Herb, Foeniculum vulgare Purpureum - An aromatic perennial ‘herb' up to 5 ft, grown for its airy, finely cut foliage that emerges a bright-copper colour and deepens to a rich, dark bronze This herb has no root to eat but has edible seed & sweet liquorice flavour leaves, plus in summer the plant carries multiple flat heads of tiny chartreuse star-shaped flowers, Swallowtail Butterflies & Bees love it too!, Seed Count Approx - 90 to 100 avg 

 SOWING - Soaking your seeds for a day or two before sowing will ensure better germination. Sow seed in early spring & again midsummer so that the plants can mature in cooler autumn weather. As it doesn't transplant well, sow insitu where it will grow covering with 1/4 inch of soil & keeping the area moist until the seeds sprout. Germination is usually 15 to 21 days, Likes plenty of sun & is adapted to dry, sunny situations, not needing heavily manured ground
