Verbena Bonariensis, Purple top - For the butterflies, A statuesque plant, Growing tall on strong, wiry stems with flattened heads supporting tiny vibrant bright lavender-purple flowers that provide useful height in a herbaceous border, where its airy graceful habit allows a view through to plants beyond & then best leaving the dead stalks until spring, when new growth is evident, before cutting them back. A superb butterfly plant, Great for traditional, drought tolerant & 'pollinator host gardens. Semi-hardy, will self-seed & resulting seedlings are stronger & more drought-tolerant, Seed Count Approx - 200 / 300 avg SOWING - Sow directly insitu in spring, or start under glass in late winter, then pot on to plant outside later.
