Matricaria camomilla recutita, Apple - Scented (Yellow Dye plant), Flowers have a strong, aromatic apple-like scent & bloom mid-summer. Commonly used as a soothing Tea & when planted, is thought to help the growth, health, strength of scent & flavour of plants nearby. Medicinally used to treat sore stomach & as a gentle sleep aid. Also used as a mild laxative & is anti-inflammatory & bactericidal. It can be taken as a herbal tea, 2 teaspoons of dried flower per cup of tea, steeped for ten to fifteen mins.  SOWING - Annual grows to 20 in & has feathery foliage with daisy-like flowers, seeds are sown directly in early spring, Will tolerate most soils, but prefers a sandy, well-drained spot & lots of sun, can also be used around the edges of containers with other herbs
