Courgette , White - 'French' Lorea (Straight, Very, Very Light Green White-ish)

In Stock 10

Cucurbita pepo, Not actually White - But a Very Very Light Green & Straight, (F1) -  A versatile, well-bred French semi-late variety, is a so-called White courgette, but in actuality, it is a pretty, very very light pale, almost a pale lime green cylindrical variety, very fine and smooth, with a sweet, sweet flavour. This rustic variety is very productive, making it an easy-to-grow vegetable for an abundant harvest. In cooking, it is often used sautéed, fried, gratin, soup or stuffed and is, of course, one of the ingredients of ratatouille. Courgettes can also be eaten raw, grated and mixed with other raw vegetables. Loera is planted from April to July, after the last frosts, for a harvest from July to October., Seed Count Approx - 15 avg

SOWING - Courgettes like a sunny, sheltered position and rich soil. Hardy annual.  Sow indoors from March to April or outdoors after frosts until July,  Sow 1.5cm deep allowing 90cm between, Cut when about 15cm to 18 cm long & harvest regularly from Aug to Oct
