Oxalis tuberosa - A root crop originating from the Andes. Small tubers are produced in late autumn which may be harvested and used as new potatoes. They have a lemony taste and are great served with a little butter. Plant out in April, or better still start in pots in March and plant out May. Harvest October. Not frost hardy, so dig up the tubers in late autumn, use what you need in the kitchen, and keep a few tubers frost-free over winter to replant in the spring. Supplied in a 1 litre pot

Use: Boil and use as a delicious lemony substitute for potatoes, or grate for use in salads
