Diospyros kaki. Japanese Persimmon. Developed in Valencia, Spain, this seedless variety is known for its large fruit with skin that is brilliant red or red-orange. The flesh is sweet and juicy, soft when ripe. The foliage turns a lovely red/purple colour in autumn. Deciduous. Pick October to November. Well-drained but moist soil, in a sunny spot. Height/spread 2 metres
