First Early. Waxy. Bred in 1879. The new potato flavour we all remember from our childhood. White skin with light-yellow flesh. This is the variety they grow in Jersey for Jersey Royals, but they can only be called that when grown on the island where large quantities of seaweed used to be placed in the fields to give that distinctive flavour.
