Vicia faba. This 18th Century variety was saved from extinction by the Henry Doubleday Research Association. The small upright green pods and beans are tender and tasty. Fragrant stunning deep red flowers are a great bonus. Maincrop plantings begin in March & then at monthly intervals until the end of May to provide beans throughout the summer. Ht: 1 - 1.2m.
