Raphanus sativus, Small Round Dark Violet Malaga Variety, This is the small round dark purple variety. Flavour is smooth and spicy with a gentle kick, not harsh but ever so tasty with a nice crunch. While the skin is deep purple, the flesh is pure white, tender & juicy. A very easy and fast grower. Makes a great addition to any salad, sandwich or garnish. Can also be used for Microgreens then let it grow on for radishes, Seed Count Approx - 200 avg SOWING - Needs Sun, Sown 2 - 3 weeks before the last frost. Plant half an inch deep & apart in rows 1 foot apart. Keep thinning until one inch apart like carrots, so radishes can expand. Keep moist but not soggy until germination, then slightly moist to prevent them from going pithy. Successive sow every 2 - 3 weeks through the season into early summer, skip the heat of summer and sow once more in early autumn.
