Sweet Corn , Mirai Picnic (003Y) New to Us (Exceptional Sweetness)

Zea mays, Early Variety known for Exceptional Sweetness, (F1) Originally developed in Illinois USA, Mirai® Sweet Corn seeds are enhanced super sweet varieties known for exceptional sweetness. Initially introduced to the Japanese market under the name “Mirai,” which translates to “taste of the future,”and  the seeds have garnered international acclaim. The cultivar yields slightly shorter cobs, approx. 15 cm in length; however, this is offset by the remarkable sweetness & juiciness of the kernels, registering 17-18% on the Brix Sweetness scale (very sweet), this vigorous variety also performs well in suboptimal soil conditions, making it an excellent choice for diverse growing environments in poorer soil conditions., Seed Count Approx - 12 avg 

  SOWING - Early sowing indoors is best in early spring Late Feb to May, indoor or under cloches in pots with good protection, A warm windowsill is best, Sow 1.5cm deep one in each pot. Keep warm & water lightly, DO NOT OVER-WATER,  Germination approx 7-21 days. Plant out in block formation May-July, into well-cultivated, fertile soil, when frosts are over. Harvest Sept to Oct just as tassels start to show.
